Hoffer 3A Sanitary Turbine Flowmeters for Liquid Applications

The Hoffer 3A sanitary turbine flowmeter is designed measuring process liquids in clean applications. For optimum performance, this flowmeter requires a minimum of 10 pipe diameters upstream and 5 pipe diameters downstream. This turbine flowmeter must be installed with the pickup coil pointing downward to ensure proper cleanability per the 3A sanitary standard.

Key Specifications

  • Meets 3A Sanitary Standard 28-03 for measuring process liquids
  • Available in sizes from 1/4" to 3" with Tri-Clamp™ fittings
  • For linear flow ranges 0.35 GPM to 650 GPM
  • 316/316L dual rated stainless steel construction with hard carbon composite bearings, 17.4 PH stainless rotor, and 15.7 MO PH stainless retaining ring
  • Accuracy and linearity: ± 0.5% reading or better
  • Process temperature ranges -40° to 450°F with standard magnetic pickup coil. Good to 850° with high temperature magnetic pickup coil
